I would like everyone to realize how important it is to be involved within your community. This year I have been more involved in my Community than ever before, and I must say, I have never felt more accomplished.

I am so happy that I got the opportunity to be involved in many events in and around my community. Volunteering at local events has been a blast and i look forward to volunteering for more events in the future.

I volunteered and have made quite a few appearances during Tottenham’s Community week. The events include, Outdoor Movie Night, the 5k and 10k races, the painting of the Derby Car (which I previously did at Beeton Honey Festival as well) and other various activities and events.

By getting involved in your community, you are one step closer to making a positive change. I strongly believe that all youth should be involved within their own communities and make sure that their voices are heard!

Myself, and the other volunteers handing out popcorn for Tottenham’s movie night!
There was a big outdoor screen playing the ‘Lego Movie’, and many people brought lawn chairs along for a nice comfy seat!
For both the 5k and 10k races at the Tottenham Community Centre, I was in charge of the starting gun. Unfortunately, I was not able to get any clear pictures of the race being started, however, I did get a few of me with the starting gun, and the racers lining up to get ready!
The sun was really bright, I couldn’t keep my eyes open!
Ready.. set…
Congratulations to all of those who participated in the 5k and 10k races!
Along with Beeton’s Derby car, Tottenham also had a derby car that needed painting!
