Photographed by Danielle Elisabeth PhotographyWow, does time ever fly! A little over a month ago was one of the most exciting days of my life, though the day after was one of the most tiring! The excitement from being a Miss Teenage Ontario finalist wired my brain so awake that I could only get a maximum of 3 hours of sleep. I wasn’t just lying in bed helpless to snooze though, but rather I had the motivation to begin my preparations for nationals! How will I celebrate my title? How will I fundraise for the pageant? How will I fundraise for Free The Children? What will I wear for nationals? How will I try to connect to all of South Central Ontario? How will I manage my time between the pageant, school, dance, and work? All of this and more was going through my head at 4am.

First Month of Reign

To begin my reign, I held a giveaway on my Facebook for a $25.00 gift certificate to The Keg. Matt G was the lucky winner! Congratulations Matt!

I would like to thank The Belleville Intelligencer for publishing a press release about me earning a title, and Mix 97 for mentioning me several times on the radio!Visiting That Special Touch

That Special Touch supported my fundraisers for Cardiac Kids, as well as gave me beautiful earrings to wear at regionals. I went to visit Darla (owner) after the pageant to thank her again for the support, as well as to share with her the exciting news of being a titleholder!

On February 20th, I went to Ottawa to support my students at their first dance competition of the season. Congratulations on a great start girls! While I was there, I got to reunite with Samantha – your 2016 Miss Teenage Ottawa. It was really nice catching up with her (plus, she made me a balloon animal…how cool is that?!). I hope to see Samantha and the other Miss Teenage Ontario delegates again before nationals (5 months is just way too long of a wait)!

What’s Next?

School and work had me pretty tied up this month, so a majority of February was dedicated towards planning for the future. I am so excited to have confirmed my participation with the following events, and I highly recommend you attend as well!

I am also excited to have been invited to many of Angela Maracle Studios’ events! Other events are still in the works of being confirmed. Did I mention how excited I am?

I am currently in the works of coordinating a major fundraiser for the summer, and the launch party’s that lead up to it. Keep a lookout!

My Birthday Wish

As I noted on my first blog post, this coming Sunday, February 28th, is my birthday! My birthday wish is to reach 500 likes on my Facebook page! There, I post live updates of my journey as Miss Teenage South Central Ontario, plus any contests or giveaways that I host. I invite you, your family, your friends, and even your pets if they have accounts, to support South Central Ontario by liking the page!

Additionally, and only for the day of my birthday, I will create a personalized donation website. Donations received that day will go towards covering my pageant expenses. The link to the site will be advertised tomorrow, so stay tuned! All donations, regardless of amount, are greatly appreciated!

I want to send my congratulations to all of the girls who competed for Miss Teenage Alberta 2016 last weekend. You all looked absolutely beautiful!

Until next time,
