Final Act of Kidstock
Sponsored by Procter & Gamble in Belleville, the set Quinte Symphony played for Kidstock Quinte Children’s Festival blew my mind! Playing a variety of songs throughout the show, they finished with a medley of Frozen songs. Their music was so magical – it gave me chills! <no pun intended>
My dad’s a musician and has been playing music for me since I could remember. It was very coincidental when early in their set, and to my surprise, Quinte Symphony began to play one of the songs my dad used to play for me!! It brought back many happy memories.
Through him, I’ve always had a passion for music. I’ve played accordion, piano, and the guitar throughout my years, however more primarily trained in vocals.
The Quinte Symphony’s performance was an extra special one considering they also involved the audience. They gave some of the young audience members the opportunity to conduct, play on the chimes, play on the large drum, and more! The kids looked so happy, and…THEY WERE GOOD TOO!! Once again, that brought back memories of me playing or singing alongside me dad. I couldn’t help but smile through the whole performance.
Closing The Show
At the end of the show, I came out to announce the silent auction winners! Click here to watch the video of me assisting Mr. Howe with closing the show.
Kidstock has brought so much opportunity to Quinte – the opportunity to enjoy art of many forms, and the opportunity to participate in them too! It has been an inspiring last few days, and I’m so honoured to have been apart of this great festival.
I look forward to next year’s Kidstock Quinte Children’s Festival and really hope to see you there!
Keep on chiming,
Miss Teenage South Central Ontario 2016
